CLAIMS AND RISK MANAGEMENT

COVERAGE ANALYSIS

We analyze current policies for coverage gaps, adequate limits and appropriateness of pricing. Additionally, scrutinize class codes being utilized for each client to verify you are not overpaying or underpaying insurance premiums.

CLAIM MANAGEMENT

Review all open claims to determine whether (a) an appropriate plan of action is in place, (b) reserves are correct, (c) could anything have been done to reduce or eliminate the claim in the claims infancy, (d) are their any frequency or severity trends, and (e) whether there are any problem client locations. Monitor all workers’ compensation and liability claims. ARIS has teamed up with aClaimant to develop a claim management system to report and monitor claims activity.

CLIENT SELECTION

Although ARIS has top of the line claims management services, if we can prevent a claim from happening, all the better. ARIS employs “train the trainer” style loss control services to help our clients minimize risk. We train sales reps on client selection; what do you look for in a prospective client, who is a good client, and how to provide value added services. Finally, we give our clients a solid insurance education. We want them to understand the classification process, xmods, claims handling, the impact of poor performance, coverage issues, etc. The more our clients know about insurance the easier it is to for us to impact positive change.

SAFETY PROGRAMS / MANUAL

Too few laws and regulations address the temporary staffing industry which is why ARIS created a staffing specific risk management manual. Our manual provides management with readily available resources to help avoid risk, control claims when they occur, avoid problems with governmental agencies and provide value added services to help separate your staffing firm from the competition.

CONTRACT REVIEW

Too man staffing firms sign client contracts without a second thought. ARIS gets involved in the contract process to help our clients avoid one-sided agreements that put all the responsibility back on the staffing firm. Additionally, ARIS makes certain your policies meet the contractual policy limit obligations.

EXPERIENCE MODIFICATION FACTOR

For a staffing firm to be successful, they must have their insurance costs under control. ARIS works hard to help clients maintain the lowest experience modification factor possible by identifying the key factors that cause an experience modification to be high. ARIS also can estimate future Ex-mod calculations to help you budget for future costs.

CLASS CODES

ARIS reviews each temporary staffing position prior to a placement being made. We verify that the insurance carrier assigns the correct code from day one. This helps assure you bill your client properly, simplify final audits and ensure the proper calculation of your experience modification factor. Reviewing each of these positions also our clients to avoid poor risks. We help you avoid clients with multiple OSHA citations, poor claim experience or class codes that insurance carriers look poorly upon that could reduce underwriting credits.

FINAL AUDIT REVIEW

One of the most overlooked parts of insurance expense. Staffing firms use multiple class codes often times with the same client. Many auditors are incentivized to find additional premium which frequently leads to mistakes. There are thousands of different class codes and auditors make frequent mistakes that can add tens of thousands of dollars to a policy that has already expired and you have billed the client for the class code that you felt was correct. ARIS wants to make certain our clients pay the proper premium for the work being done.
